Serenbe Georgia: A couples getaway guide
If you’re in the Atlanta area grab your spouse, hop in the car and head I-85 south towards Palmetto, Georgia. About 35 minutes from the city you’ll find yourself exploring the beautiful town of Serenbe. This getaway spot is perfect for a day trip or a weekend stay. Serenbe offers a variety of experiences. Most of which are chill, relaxing and lowkey. Their restaurants offer locally grown or raised foods. A yummy farm-to-table menu. Also the farm isn’t all Serenbe has to offer. Venture out to their residential community. Their houses are dope. The locals are friendly and invite you in to taste a bit of their reality. The town has activities that will get you active, help you to relax and enjoy a your time with your spouse. From the land, food and activities it’s all worth the short drive there.
In my opinion, spending time at this local farmland is always refreshing. Visits there are typically quiet and peaceful which is great for couples. Together you can bond, reflect or reconnect while adventuring through this small town. I’ve had the opportunity to visit Serenbe for both work and pleasure. My recent visits were with my hubby. Staying at The Inn in 2020, we celebrated our second anniversary on the farm. We woke up to a rooster crowing nearly every morning. We walked the land daily which granted us time to create new memories. While exploring we came across their human maze, a garden and even feed some of the farm animals. We witnessed their sheep peacefully leading themselves across the meadow. Then later found out the animal section temporarily closed because their bull somehow escaped his designated area. It was clear this wasn’t new to the staff. They handled things rather quickly. Anyway, our evenings were lit with lamps around the walkways which were perfect for evening strolls. We even passed a lovely outdoor set-up for what appeared to be for a rehearsal dinner. We made the most out of our weekend stay. Staying on a farm was quite a unique experience. It felt like the pace of life slowed down for a second. And it was great! The only thing that matter was he and I.
