This is my birth story simply told. When the doctor pulled our daughter out of my belly he mentioned the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, twice! Plus there was meconium in my amniotic fluid. No wonder labor didn't progress much. My baby was under a lot of stress.

Unfortunately, in all of our preparation for labor and delivery, I did not feel prepared for nursing. No one told me about the pain of nursing until I was facing it. Seek help from a lactation consultant.
